Or browse by model: [ ][][] [][][] Italian Vespas Most Vespas are true Italian bikes but on a smaller scale the design was licensed to manufacturing companies in other countries. Douglas manufactured models in the UK, ACMA in France, and Sears Allstate imported them from Italy but re-labeled them with the Allstate logo. These models from other countries are very similar to Italian models but have slightly diffeent features mainly to do with specific regulations or market needs in the respective countires. The first Spanish built Lambretta was the 125/150cc 'D' in 1954 and this was quickly followed by 125/150cc 'LD' models from 1955. I believe that the Spanish factory also produced a 'D' model based Lambretta three-wheeler, but this was a flop. Domestic sales proved very good and by 1960 production of Spanish Lambretta's had reached 50,000 units.

Well, the first tip-off would be the name and model. The GP series was made by SIL in India and includes the GP150 and the GP200, although the DL150 and DL200 are very similar, they will be easily identified by their exponentially higher prices. As far as the Spanish bikes go, they can typically be identified as Servettas by the red Motoplat electrical components even if the badges have been swapped out.

Also, check out as they have much more detailed information on identification of various models as well as historical data. Yeah, I guees you're right. I hadn't had enough coffee yet. Hey, congrats on the TV, fucker. I was transferring funds to my paypal acount when you bought it 'now' out from under me. Although I think I may have bought a white Rally 200 out from under you a while ago, or it may have been another arch-nemesis from the BBS. I look forward to sparring with you on eBay in the future, although I think with that bike, you'll forever be ahead.
