This textbook is definitely not suited for that purpose due to the sheer breadth of information contained inside. An enjoyable book to read, I used it to prepare for my master exam.

Good fundamental overview - large range of contemporary & classical physics Having used this book as reference for a few years I decided to buy it as for every topic relating to my studies in physics and engineering there is a clear and well laid out explanation with good examples. Diagrams are helpful and wording is unambiguous.

Great resource for anyone doing a general degree / studying physics for Advanced level. It's not trying to give in depth analysis for everything, so if you're after that don't buy this book.
